J&T Associates is now the authorised Nepal partner and reseller for My Office Genie — a business management platform that brings HR, payroll, project management, finance and internal communication into a single system. The appointment means Nepali organisations can buy, implement and support the platform through our team in Kathmandu, rather than dealing with a vendor outside the country.
What My Office Genie does
My Office Genie is built for organisations that have outgrown running the business across disconnected spreadsheets and chat threads. It covers:
- HR — recruitment and a job portal, employee records, online attendance and shift rosters
- Payroll — payroll generation, with payslip access for employees
- CRM — leads, web-to-lead forms and client management
- Project management — contracts, projects, tasks and timesheets
- Finance — records of sales and expenses, estimates and proposals, invoicing and online payments
- Communication — one-to-one and group chat, events and a notice board
- Asset management, knowledge base and reporting
It also supports virtual video interviews, requested directly from the recruitment module, so shortlisting and interviewing stay in one place.
HR and payroll: what the modules do
- Payroll — pay runs move through draft, finalize and mark-paid stages; payslip PDFs are generated and emailed to staff; salary components, adjustments and export presets feed your accountant or bank; termination pay is handled as a proper run.
- Attendance — check-in from the web, by location, or by face with a liveness challenge so a photo cannot stand in for a person; on-site kiosks with PINs for teams that do not carry phones on shift; break allowance and timesheet approval before payroll.
- Leave — leave types, accrual rules, carryover and live balances, with approvals against a team calendar so coverage is visible before leave is granted.
- Rostering — shift templates, published rosters and shift-change requests handled in the system rather than over the phone.
- Performance — appraisal cycles with competencies, goals and KPI scorecards, plus AI-drafted reviews that managers edit rather than write from a blank page.
- People ops — staff records and documents, onboarding checklists, assets tracked per employee with expiry reminders, and an employee self-service portal for payslips, leave and personal details.
- Learning — a learning management system with courses, programmes, competencies and assessments.

Payroll that runs on both calendars
For Nepali organisations, the part of the platform that matters most is payroll — and specifically, the calendar it runs on.
Nepal works on Bikram Sambat. It is the country’s official civil calendar, its year count runs about 57 years ahead of the Gregorian, and its new year begins in mid-April with Baisakh. Salary cycles, attendance, leave and internal reporting are commonly expressed in Bikram Sambat months — while banks, auditors, international clients and most finance systems work in Gregorian.
Reconciling the two by hand is where payroll errors come from. My Office Genie handles payroll processing on both the Nepali Bikram Sambat and the Gregorian calendar, so an organisation can run payroll on the calendar its people actually work to, without maintaining a second, parallel calculation for everyone who asks for one. The two views stay aligned rather than drifting apart month by month.
Why the Nepal partner matters
Software alone does not run payroll in Nepal. Someone has to hold the employment relationship, apply the statutory contributions and file correctly — which is what we already do for our outsourcing and Employer of Record clients.
