What My Office Genie does
My Office Genie is built for organisations that have outgrown running the business across disconnected spreadsheets and chat threads. It covers:
- HR — recruitment and a job portal, employee records, online attendance and shift rosters
- Payroll — payroll generation, with payslip access for employees
- CRM — leads, web-to-lead forms and client management
- Project management — contracts, projects, tasks and timesheets

It also supports virtual video interviews, requested directly from the recruitment module, so shortlisting and interviewing stay in one place.
Payroll that runs on both calendars
For Nepali organisations, the part of the platform that matters most is payroll — and specifically, the calendar it runs on.
Nepal works on Bikram Sambat. It is the country’s official civil calendar, its year count runs about 57 years ahead of the Gregorian, and its new year begins in mid-April with Baisakh. Salary cycles, attendance, leave and internal reporting are commonly expressed in Bikram Sambat months — while banks, auditors, international clients and most finance systems work in Gregorian.
Reconciling the two by hand is where payroll errors come from. My Office Genie handles payroll processing on both the Nepali Bikram Sambat and the Gregorian calendar, so an organisation can run payroll on the calendar its people actually work to, without maintaining a second, parallel calculation for everyone who asks for one. The two views stay aligned rather than drifting apart month by month.
Why the Nepal partner matters
Software alone does not run payroll in Nepal. Someone has to hold the employment relationship, apply the statutory contributions and file correctly — which is what we already do for our outsourcing and Employer of Record clients.
J&T Associates has employed and paid staff in Nepal since 2003, for 20 client organisations including eight Nepali banks. As the Nepal partner we implement and support the platform locally: configuration for Nepali payroll, attendance and rosters; training for HR and accounts teams; and a local contact when something needs fixing.
