BPO Company in Nepal

A business process outsourcing company takes a function off your plate and returns the output, without you carrying the headcount, the recruitment, the payroll or the supervision behind it. J&T Associates has been doing that from Kathmandu since 2003 — 23 years, 20 client organisations, including eight of Nepal’s banks, two telecoms and two hospitals.

This page covers what we run as a BPO partner in Nepal, how the engagement works, and how to tell whether you need BPO, Employer of Record or staffing. If you already know which you need, the fastest route is to tell us about the roles.

What a BPO company in Nepal does for you

Business process outsourcing in Nepal usually means one of two arrangements, and the difference matters more than the label.

People deployed to your operation. We recruit, train and employ the staff, and they work to your direction — on your systems, your processes and your targets. The employment relationship stays with us.

The process itself, run end to end. You hand us the function, we run it from our premises against agreed measures, and you receive the output. Nobody on your side manages a team for it.

In both arrangements the parts that quietly consume management time — recruitment, contracts, payroll, statutory contributions, leave cover, replacement when someone leaves, and daily supervision — sit with us rather than you.

BPO services we deliver from Nepal

Our teams work across the functions below. Most clients start with one and add others once the first is running.

Customer contact and telemarketing

  • Inbound customer support, help desk and product enquiry handling
  • Outbound telemarketing and appointment setting
  • Lead generation and database marketing
  • Customer follow-up and retention calling

Back office and administration

  • Data entry, processing and validation
  • Document handling, verification and records administration
  • Order processing, reconciliation and reporting support

Records management

  • Document scanning and digitisation
  • Indexing and archive structuring
  • Secure shredding and disposal of physical records

The records work is covered in more detail on document digitisation and disposal, and driver teams on driver outsourcing in Nepal.

Why the employment model matters in Nepal

A lot of what is advertised as BPO in Nepal is a recruitment or brokerage layer: an introduction to candidates who then become your problem to employ. That is a different service, and it shifts the risk back to you.

We hold the employment relationship. That means the staff working on your process are on our payroll, on local contracts, with their statutory contributions administered by us. If someone leaves or is unwell, replacement cover is ours to organise, not a vacancy for you to fill.

It is the same capability we provide through Employer of Record in Nepal, applied to a whole function rather than to individual hires. If you want named people on your own team without a Nepali entity, EOR is the right structure; if you want a function run for you, it is BPO. Outsourcing company in Nepal covers how the two relate.

BPO in Kathmandu, working with teams abroad

We are based in Kathmandu and our teams work from there. Nepal is at UTC+5:45, which sits between Gulf and East Asian hours on one side and European on the other. For Australian clients the working day overlaps in the afternoon and evening; for UK and European clients the overlap falls in their morning; for US clients the same calendar day does not overlap, so those engagements run on a Kathmandu evening or night shift agreed with you in advance.

Our staff work in English, which is the language of instruction, reporting and client communication across the teams we run.

How an engagement starts

  1. Scope. You tell us the function, the volumes and the hours you need covered.
  2. Design. We propose the team shape, the supervision model and the reporting, and confirm what we need from you.
  3. Recruit and train. We recruit against your requirements, train to your process and stand the team up.
  4. Run and review. The team operates against the measures we agreed, with reporting on a schedule you set.

Timelines depend on the skill level and the number of roles. We will give you a realistic schedule rather than an optimistic one.

Questions we are asked about BPO in Nepal

Can a foreign company use a BPO in Nepal without registering a company here?

Yes. That is the normal arrangement for the clients we serve from outside Nepal. If you later need named individuals on your own team rather than a managed function, that is an Employer of Record structure.

Do you only provide call centre services?

No. Customer contact is one service line. We also run back-office and data work, records digitisation, telemarketing and driver teams.

Are you the number to call about a bank, telecom or airline enquiry?

No. Those are customer service lines belonging to those companies. We are a business-to-business provider running processes on behalf of client organisations.

Do you take on a team in another city?

Our operation is in Kathmandu. Talk to us about the requirement — additional locations depend on the roles and the volumes.
